The all-new GQ4Y dual‑fuel (gasoline–natural gas) engine features a completely redesigned architecture, with an optimized layout for the sprocket housing, gear pump, and exhaust system. It is equipped with a genuine IMPCO natural gas system from the United States and comes paired with a Japanese‑imported Nissan carburetor and fuel pump, supporting multiple fuels including LPG, CNG, LNG, and gasoline. This product delivers consistent, reliable performance, boasts simplified installation and configuration, and offers outstanding cost‑effectiveness—making it a truly domestically produced 4Y engine and the preferred powertrain for 1‑ to 3.5‑ton clean‑energy forklifts.
Key features:
1. Clean energy, with nearly zero soot emissions and low levels of other harmful pollutants;
2. It helps improve engine lubrication, thereby more than doubling the engine’s service life.
3. Equipped with hydraulic tappets and a silent chain, effectively reducing noise;
4. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is relatively inexpensive, and its overall gas consumption is low, thereby reducing fuel costs and delivering excellent economic benefits.
5. Equipped with the American IMPCO gas system and original Japanese Nissan carburetors and fuel pumps, it delivers high reliability, excellent safety, and robust power.
6. The hydraulic oil pump mounting port (PTO) is positioned on the forklift’s hydraulic oil tank side, facilitating design and installation by the OEM.
7. Drawing on the Toyota 4Y design, it features a side‑mounted, straight‑out exhaust system that shortens the length of the external exhaust pipe, further reducing exhaust backpressure and enhancing engine performance.
8. It employs a sprocket housing of the same model as Toyota’s 4Y engine. The front end utilizes chain‑drive technology, and each unit undergoes two thermal‑run tests after assembly to ensure stable performance.

The advantages of the GQ-4Y gasoline forklift engine:
1. All products are assembled and thoroughly inspected on specialized production lines, with dedicated equipment ensuring quality and consistent performance.
The engine production line was jointly designed and established by the Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute and the Shanghai Automotive Industry Research and Design Institute, featuring a flexible manufacturing system with an annual capacity of 50,000 automotive engines. Equipped with advanced production and testing machinery—such as dynamometers and COSM leak‑testing machines imported from abroad—the facility is capable of supplying high‑performance, environmentally friendly, top‑quality engines to both domestic and international customers. The production equipment comprises two main components: the final assembly line and the laboratory. The final assembly line includes several key sections: the component sub‑assembly line, the cylinder‑head final assembly line, the complete engine assembly line, and the test‑drive line.
